Austin Resource Recovery Information:

Extra compost item limits to be implemented May 1.

Put on hold due to storm debris collection, Austin Resource Recovery will resume the 15 extra item limits for curbside composting collection beginning May 1. These limits allow crews to collect material more efficiently.

Compostable material must fit into your green cart with the lid closed. Use lawn and leaf bags or a reusable container for extra material. Containers should be no larger than 34 gallons and no heavier than 50 pounds. Tie or stack small branches in bundles less than 12 inches wide and less than 30 pounds. Each bundle, bag, and container counts as a separate item toward the limit. Remember to place your green cart and up to 15 extra items at the curb by 5:30 a.m. on your collection day.
