12/8 – 12/11 – MacTheatre Presents Moon Over Buffalo
In the madcap comedy tradition of Lend me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950’s who cling to hope for one last shot at stardom as they hear that Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong, including hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing, caused by Charlotte’s deaf stage-manager mother who hates every bone in George’s body.

Most, if not all of the students acting in this production are aiming to major in theatre in college — they are serious about their craft!
All shows will be in the McCallum Fine Arts Building Theatre at 5600 Sunshine Dr. Show dates are Thursday, Dec. 8th through Saturday, Dec. 10th at 7 pm and Sunday, Dec.11th at 2 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door or at https://mccallum.ludustickets.com/  Student tickets are $7; adults are $16 and seniors are $12. Group rates available; contact Josh Denning.  See a cast list here: https://www.facebook.com/events/200002253781527/

Earlier this year Austin Entertainment Weekly named MacTheatre as the Most Outstanding Academic Theatre in Austin along with St. Edward’s University. More information on MAC Theatre’s 63rd season can be found at http://mactheatre.com/
