The Allandale July 4 Parade is the longest running in
Austin.  Come out and join the fun,
celebrate the holiday.  Decorate your
bicycles, your wagons and strollers; repaint your stilts, oil your roller
skates; march in the parade.  Dress your
pet and let it join the march.  There’s
judging in several categories for the participants.

We’ll have fire trucks, floats, antique cars, costumed
revolutionaries with muskets, drum corps, and flags.

Meet at Bullard & White Rock by 8:30 – the Parade starts
moving at 9am.  The march is all the way
to Gullett School.  There we’ll sing
songs, listen to a few [short] speeches, and find out who won the judging. There’s a shade for the grounds and we’ll
have water.
