The October Allandale Neighbor is out. You should have received it in today's mail. Let me know if you did not. This issue includes the latest news on the 75-acre state-owned tract along Bull Creek Rd south of 45th. ANA has a committee that is monitoring its progress. No decision has been made yet on how the tract will be developed but a proposal has been submitted. This issue also includes a profile on a new restaurant, Pinthouse Pizza, that will be opening up soon on Burnet Rd just south of the Omelettry. Classic American pizza and 45 beers on tap will be just a bike ride away.
In the last issue, Cheryl Silver covered the topic of dog poop in her Dog Talk column. In this issue, Angela Caras continues her Chicken Squawk series with an article about, you guessed it, chicken poop. As editor I take responsibility for allowing such filth.
If you have not made up your mind about which single-member district proposition to vote for in the upcoming November 6 election, we have notes from a review of the options presented at the last ANA General Meeting. It's quite informative. And as always, we have a articles about beautification, gardening, neighborhood safety and the President's letter written by ANA's new president, David Mintz.
