According to a story in today's Austin American-Statesman, "Proposed Central Austin project on state land worries nearby residents," by Gary Dinges, Stratus Properties is seeking to purchase 75 acres of state property "to build into a mixed-use project with residences, offices and shops, including an H-E-B." The property is just south of Allandale on the southeast corner of 45th and Bull Creek. The state-owned land has been deemed by the state as one of its underutilized properties making it prime for a development given its central location. The developer has not received a final OK from the state.
