Demolion of The Courtyard Shops is well underway at 5453 Burnet Rd to make way for a 179 unit apartment development, Burnet Park. Up the road a mixed-use apartment development was announced recently that will replace the Farmers Market and the adjacent property just south of it (6601 and 6701 Burnet Rd). According to a posting on the Brentwood website, the project will include approximately 275-300 apartments and 16,000 SF of retail. It is being developed by Cypress Real Estate Advisors. Another apartment development is being considered just north of Anderson Ln on the west side of Burnet Rd (8100 Burnet Rd) where Ross Dress for Less and the former Chuck e Cheese is. If the developers (Alliance Residential Company) are successful in getting the variance they are seeking, the development could include up to 300 units.
