Bond developmentThe Bond Election Advisory Task Force committees’ (Affordable Housing; City Facilities; Parks & Open Space; and Transportation/Mobility) initial recommendations for future bond funding are available for review on the Bond Development website:

The committees have narrowed down the list of potential projects and programs for bond funding from the over $1.49 billion Capital Needs Assessment provided by staff and additional community projects to $659 million.

The Task Force will further reduce and refine the recommendations over the next few weeks before providing them to City Council for their consideration when developing a future bond package.

On May 2 & 3, the Task Force will host special called meetings in north and south Austin where residents can learn more about the committee recommendations and provide feedback directly to Task Force members.

Wednesday, May 2nd, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Akins High School Library, 10701 South 1st Street (bus route #201)  (enter in the front, main entrance to school)

Thursday, May 3rd, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Lanier High School Cafeteria, 1201 Payton Gin Road (bus route #1L, #1M, #10, #325) (park on west side of cafeteria and enter on that side–see attached map)

In addition to the community forums on May 2 & 3, residents may provide comments via email at this address, social media (on Twitter, use #atxbd), and  A complete listing of Task Force meeting dates, opportunities to comment and additional information are available at

We look forward to your feedback!
