Tuesday, at the Dell Jewish Community Center there will be another open house for the MoPac Improvement Project. The project calls for adding express lanes to MoPac and includes sound walls that will be constructed along part of Great Northern. Click here for KLBJ News report on the open house held Thursday, March 1 at O. Henry Middle School.
MoPac Improvement Project Open House
After two years of community meetings, the MoPac Improvement Project is getting closer to reality. But first, before we can move forward, we need you to take one more look at the plan, and let us know what you think about it.
Please stop by one of our two upcoming open houses to learn more about the $250 million MoPac Improvement Project. We will have videos, graphic displays and handouts explaining how we propose to improve mobility by adding one express lane in each direction from downtown Austin to Parmer Lane. We will also show you where $20 million worth of sound walls are planned, where $5 million in bicycle and pedestrian improvements are planned and how we intend to spend $3 million to beautify the entire corridor.
