The number of home burglaries in Allandale and Burglary of Vehicles (BOV) were down last year. According to data provided by the Austin Police Department, there were 8 fewer Burglary of Residences (BOR) and 12 fewer car burglaries in 2011. A downward trend is good but there were still 48 BORs and 127 BOVs in the neighborhood last year. As always, the highest number of the BOVs occurred in the parking lots along Anderson and Burnet Road, however there were a high number of them that took place in the neighborhood: 10 BOVs on Cary Dr., 7 on Shoal Creek, 6 on Woodview, and 4 reported on Nasco Dr. in 2011. There were a total of 48 Burglary of Residences reported in Allandale in 2011. The streets with the most were Daugherty St and Shoal Creek with 4 each, 3 on Bullard Dr. and 3 on Woodview. Click here to view the block number and streets of where all of the BORs occurred in 2011.
