July 4th, 2011 – this will be the 52nd (you count the year it started) appearance of the Allandale Neighborhood Parade. Begun in 1960, it has been a constant presence every year. It has grown to include prizes, elected officials, lots of Scouts (boys and girls of all sizes), cars, bikes, tykes, walkers, pets, bands, and we can include more. We have booths with food and voter registration. It is a true July 4th event! And, the best in town!!
To join the July 4th parade – just show up – decorate yourself, decorate your vehicle, and simply march. This is what Allandale Neighborhood is all about! To volunteer, contact me at dbmc [Email address: dbmc #AT# texas.net - replace #AT# with @ ] or 453-2696. See you at the parade!
