The Citizen Led Austin Safety Partnership (CLASP) will be hosting our next city-wide meeting for neighborhood leaders, block captains and other volunteers interested in safety issues:

When:  Saturday May 7th, 2-4pm
Doors open at 1:30pm

Where:  St, Edwards Campus, Ragsdale Center Jones Auditorium. Park in any lot except for Residential Parking marked with red signs.   See Map on link provided with this notice.

Why:   Rosemary Lehmberg, Travis County District Attorney is the featured speaker
Getting those burglars arrested in your neighborhood is only the start of the criminal justice process.   What happens after the arrest is largely out view and out of mind for most of us.   But the criminal justice process is the most important action that happens after the suspect is arrested.

Come and hear Travis County.  District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg will speak to us on the issues and challenges of the Travis County District Attorney's Office.

Bob Nicks, Austin Firefighters Association President, will speak briefly about recent issues with fighting wildfires and other neighborhood fire safety topics.

NETWORKING SESSION:  Come and meet those who work on safety issues throughout Austin and spend time one on one.   Whether you are wanting to know about the nuts and bolts on setting up a neighborhood watch or patrol, how to look up crime, how to get crime watch signage for your neighborhood – or share your tips with others!

Here is a link for details on our next meeting.
