For those of you who live in the Allandale Oaks subdivision of Allandale,thank you for your response to my notice about the deed restriction issue Ifaced with this lot. As it turns out, the floodplain map that is on thecity's website showed an encroachment that was not accurate. Upon a lot specific review from the city, the floodplain was determined to be behind the original house and not cutting through the middle of the old house as the map showed. With this new information, seeking a deed variance of the front setback line in order to design a more suitable home for the neighborhood was not necessary.
