I want to say thanks to those who came out on Saturday to pick up trash and scout out, remove/paint over graffiti in NW Park and around Allandale. (Photos from the event are Laura and volunteers at the sign-up table in the first photo and Peggy Randow painting over graffiti in the park in the adjacent photo). Thank you to Dave Richards and Pete Garcia, owners of the Putt Putt property, who removed all of the graffiti on the site on Daugherty. They let us know that they will be prepping the land for the the possibility of a May opening of the originally planned Biergarten. Also, thanks to Allandale Neighborhood Association Parks and Green Spaces Chair Linnea Lemon and City Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) representatives Danny Castilleja and Brian Block for their help with the graffiti and trash clean up. Through Linnea’s coordination with Danny and Brian, PARD provided graffiti remover, rags, gloves, and trash bags. Thank you so much!
All are welcome at another Allandale Neighborhood watch activity next Saturday (1/29) from 2-3 pm at North Village Library – come hear about krimelabb.com and learn from creator Jack Darby about how to be a Neighborhood Crime Analyst.
